President & CEO

Kevin Bullock

Mr. Bullock is a registered Professional Mining Engineer in the provinces of Ontario and Nova Scotia. Previously, he was President and CEO of Volta Resources. and the founding President and CEO of Goldcrest (a Volta predecessor company) since its inception in 2002. Mr. Bullock was instrumental in the growth of Volta from a shell company through to the ultimate sale of the company to B2Gold at the end of 2013. Mr. Bullock has over 35 years of senior-level experience in mining exploration, mine development, mine operations, capital markets and sustainability. Throughout his career, Mr. Bullock has been involved in projects from inception through exploration to development and production. Mr. Bullock was most recently the President and CEO of Signal Gold and is currently a director of B2Gold. Mr. Bullock has also held senior positions with Kirkland Lake Gold and Iamgold Corporation.

COO

Jeremy Wyeth

Mr. Wyeth, COO, was Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Company until the acquisition of Signal Gold in December 2024, and President and CEO of the Company until the acquisition of Blackwolf Copper and Gold Ltd on July 3, 2024. Prior to this, Mr. Wyeth was Operations Director (2017-2020) at Wood Canada Ltd. a large engineering company, where he led the Oakville office with a strong focus on both local and international projects. Mr. Wyeth started his career with De Beers (1988-2009), and worked on mines around the world in Canada, Russia, Brazil and South Africa. With De Beers, he moved to Canada to lead the development, construction, commissioning and ramp up of the Victor Diamond Mine in Northern Ontario. He took the Victor Project from pre-feasibility study to nameplate capacity. The Victor Project had a capital budget of $1 billion and under Mr. Wyeth’s leadership, it was completed nine months ahead of schedule and under budget. Over his career, Mr. Wyeth has held various senior management positions (2011-2019), including with Excellon Resources and Anglo American. He previously served on the boards of Vector Resources Inc., DRA Americas Inc., DRA Brazil and the Ontario Mining Association. He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. 

CFO

Orin Baranowsky​

Mr. Baranowsky brings more than 25 years of finance and capital markets experience to NexGold and has been Chief Financial Officer of NexGold since April 2021. Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Blue Thunder Mining Inc. and served as Chief Financial Officer of Stornoway Diamond Corporation, where he was instrumental in helping raise more than $1 billion for the construction of the Renard Diamond Mine in northern Québec. Mr. Baranowsky holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Rachel Pineault

Ms. Pineault brings more than 25 years of progressive senior management experience to NexGold. Most recently, she was VP, HR and Sustainability of the Company until the acquisition of Signal Gold in December 2024. She was formerly Vice President of Human Resources at Battle North Gold, Director of Human Resources – Canadian Operations for Kirkland Lake Gold, Vice President, Human Resources and Aboriginal Affairs at Detour Gold and Head of Human Resources and Aboriginal Affairs for De Beers Canada – Victor Mine. Ms. Pineault holds a Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) designation.

VP, Exploration

Paul McNeill

Mr. McNeill is the VP, Exploration for NexGold since December 2024. He was formerly VP, Exploration at Signal Gold and Anaconda Mining (2014-2024) before its acquisition by NexGold in 2024. Previously, Mr. McNeill was VP, Exploration of Aurora Energy Resources (2008-2011), developing uranium resources at the Michelin Project in Labrador, Canada which was acquired by Paladin Energy where Mr. McNeill subsequently served as Principal Geologist (2011-2013). Prior to this, Mr. McNeill worked with various exploration and development companies, including Rubicon Minerals, Monster Copper and Mega Uranium. His career has focused on gold and uranium exploration, development and operations. Mr. McNeill has worked throughout Canada as well as the United States and Australia and has developed technical expertise in structural controls on mineralization, grass roots exploration, project development, operations as well as considerable experience in community and aboriginal engagement. Mr. McNeill is a Professional Geologist registered in the Provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia, an ICD designation from the Rotman School of Management, Toronto and he holds degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland (1995) as well as the University of New Brunswick (1998). Mr. McNeill currently serves on the board of Mining NL and is a Past President of the CIM NL branch.

VP, Sustainability

Deidre Puddister

Ms. Puddister is currently the VP, Sustainability for NexGold and is responsible for environmental compliance and permitting, as well as Indigenous and community engagement (Nova Scotia). Ms. Puddister has ~25 years working in the environment industry. In her previous positions, Ms. Puddister worked on projects for the mining, oil and gas, renewable energy and heavy civil construction sectors across Canada and internationally, including mining projects in Pakistan, Indonesia and Sierra Leonne. As a result, Ms. Puddister has acquired extensive experience providing practical advice and guidance to ensure adherence to legislation across multiple jurisdictions. Most recently with Signal Gold, Ms. Puddister was responsible for Indigenous and community engagement, ensuring Rightsholder and stakeholder concerns were a part of the decision-making process, as well as obtaining and complying with all necessary authorizations for existing and new mine sites. Ms. Puddister holds an M.Sc. (Environmental Science) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well certifications in directors’ education (ICD.D), governance, sustainability, engagement, leadership, indigenous and cultural awareness and business management.

Amanda Abballe

Ms. Abballe has over 20 years of progressive human resources experience. Since joining Signal Gold in 2019, she has had executive responsibility for driving the Company’s people and talent strategy globally, including employee experience, leadership, compliance and culture. Ms. Abballe previously held a variety of senior positions in different Industries including Mining. Her functional experience spans global mobility, M&A integration, employee engagement, internal investigations, work-force planning, succession planning, leadership development and digital transformation. Amanda holds a number of industry designations and is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association. Ms. Abballe holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Labour Relations and Human Resources Management from York University.
